So poor Creed had his first surgery...and hopefully his last. It really wasn't too big of a deal except that when ever anyone knocks out a child it is a little worrisome. He had had a clogged tear duct since birth and no amount of massage, warm wash clothes, or drops unclogged it. He was constantly oozing out his one eye. Again not a big deal except one eye was constantly looking underwater and one eye was not so the eye muscles were developing unevenly. To prevent astigmatism we went ahead and had the eye probe done.
The took this big long knitting needle looking probe and stuck it into the corner of his eye and down his lachrymal duct to his sinus. A few times back and forth with the probe and the duct was cleaned out. So it took about 15 minutes and he woke right up screaming "MAMA!"
I think the saddest part of the day was the nurse carried him out of the room to the OR and he looked over her shoulder saying Mama? then louder and a little worried Mama?! then realized this might not be a pleasure trip and reached over her shoulders and screamed MAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAMAM!!!!!!! It broke my heart to see him scared even though I knew it wasn't a huge deal..
This is Jocelyn being silly and I don't know how this picture got here or why she is hiding under Creed's bed with panties on her head and 47 outfits on the ground....
This is Creed a few days post surgery not a tear to be seen even when getting busted for making mud puddles with the cocoa...
The is also a few days later making mud puddles with chocolate pudding...still no tears but lots of mischief...I love this kiddo!
On a happier note Creed got his first hair cut the night before his surgery. I trimmed just around his ears and his neck line and saved every curl. He looks so much older now.
