Weight Family Top Ten for 2013

And now the top ten-ish of 2013

 10. Cami turned 9 and continued to spank it in every possible way. She played on a competitive soccer team, ran in the school track meet and other races, played with cousins and friends, danced, took horse riding lessons, and played piano amazingly!

9. Creed turned 1 and developed some seriously fast motor skills. He runs like a banshee is chasing him, learned how to say chocolate and candy (and hopefully soon detox), and can climb like a mountain man. He is still the most ticklish happy go lucky kid ever. He is so fun to be around and we can't believe he'll be 2 in a few weeks.

8. Brent has continued to grow his businesses and create jobs for other families. He has fun every day and is challenged everyday and the entrepreneurial life is totally his dream coming true...except the turn all the profits back into the business and enjoy a lean lifestyle part....he hopes that part will change soon and it is impressive that he has started three companies that are doing so well in an economy that is not doing so well. (Google witting innovations, cannibal cycles, or cp500)

7. Taryn continues to be passionate and loud and our personal firework. She turned 8, got her ears pierced, got baptized, busted up to a reading level 40 (after struggling with reading she had been at a level 4 just one year ago), and put on her own fashion show after taking sewing lessons and is always the best dressed. She is still in love with dancing and tried soccer out again with Amy helping out on the coaching scene.

6. Jocelyn survived a "broken" arm  and started preschool. She LOVES school and her buddies and her teacher. She loves crafts (she is particularly fierce with scissors and permanent markers) and dancing and this year she started soccer. She loved a date with mom every week at practice since Amy coached her team. Her true summer love was swimming and she is really into horses (at least Barbie horses).

5. We got to enjoy an awesome trip to Seattle for cousin Haley's wedding. We were crazy enough to drive all 20 hours and considered it successful since there were no speeding tickets, family brawls, or eyes poked out. There was a shoe to the head and a lot of late nights and tons of sand in the britches. Creed survived his first solo scuba dive into Puget sound and Amy survived hiking in wet clothes after his head first dive. We all loved the opportunity to ride a ferry, not to be confused with a fairy, and devour Nutella crapes at a real crapier.

4. We all had fun boating on several different weekends when different family members came into town to play. Jocelyn is a big fan of riding on the tube and yelled "faster, faster" while others yelled slower...She is totally related to Taryn is some ways...

3. We spent a week camping in the high Unitas with Brent's family. We discovered a real life fairy forest and hiked through awesome mountain rain storms. Cami discovered a love of canoing and Jocelyn got her first bloody nose "bouldering" by the port a potties with her cousins. We ate tons of good camp food and survived Creed not sleeping anywhere but in Amy's arms or his car seat.

2. Taryn let the orthodontist pull a tooth completely out without any drugs and didn't even bat an eye. he said it was one in a million that would just open up and kick back for a tooth extraction. It was one of the most impressive things I have ever seen.

1. Amy survived an intense year of driving to and fro, and scheduling, and negotiating, and tickling, and cuddling, and homework encouraging, and general encouraging, and smooching, and cooking, and cleaning, and blogging, and loving, and tear wiping, and bum wiping, and so many other things....

 As always the list could go on and on but in the end we really just want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and thank you all for your friendship!

Thanksgiving Firsts

For the first time ever we spent Thanksgiving with the Weight Family. Usually Brent's parent's have been in Florida for Thanksgiving and all the kids went to "in-laws" or who ever. Because Brent's mom has been so sick the last year everyone made an effort to bring the party to her this year. The Weight parent's have really missed their traveling hobby.

So The whole gang met at Brent's sister's house for dinner. The kids played outside despite the absolutely freezing weather and we hardly saw the older girls all day. Jocelyn loved playing with her girl cousins that are her age and as I was putting these pictures up she said "Oh I LOVE so and so" over and over...There of course was waaaaaay too much food but no one was complaining about that.

 The rest of the trip we spent in Heber bowling and getting shakes and then taking the kids on a tour of byu. My favorite moment was when Creed saw this stuffed cougar at the book store. He got so excited hugging and kissing and buggering all over it we had to buy it. He has loved it every second since then. He's a good good boy. And we have a good good family.

 

 

 

Taryn's Baptism



Taryn turned 8 in October and chose to be baptized into our church. She has been looking forward to it ever since Cami's baptism. She had her outfit and hair do planned for months...We were lucky that a lot of family and friends were able to come. Grandma and Papa made a huge effort to be here having to juggle Grandma's dialysis schedule/locations. The Miller's (Brent's sister) were in town and stayed with us. The Fergusons and Thompsons and Uncle John and Grandma Rice were there from my side of the family. Also several of my cousins were there too. Our friends the Lewis's were there too. Taryn also invited her school teacher and Cami's teacher from last year....Basically she invited everyone she knows and everyone came. It was a crowd! And Taryn felt very loved. Here's the evidence....

 

 



Laundry Days

So this is laundry day at our house. I highly recommend glass on drier doors and choo choo train laundry baskets...and adorable easily pleased little boys!

The Eagle is in the wind...I repeat Eagle is in the wind....

When girls turn 8 in our church they start going to activity day girls (in place of scouts that they boys do). There is an annual daddy daughter Halloween party and both girls were psyched to go. They dress up as a team (last year Cami and Brent were Hermione and Hagrid). This year they debated and debated-coming up with an idea that fit both completely different girls needs was tricky....They ended up with the princesses body guards theme. They used ear phones as ear buds and went all out with black leather. Taryn of course was the perfect sparkly princess. They all had a blast eating doughnuts dangling from string and figuring out whose baby pictures were whose. No one guessed Brent's because I sent in a picture of him in a dress and wig from his sisters dressing him up...AWESOME baby!!! These girls are lucky to have a dad who kicks bum in so many ways.

Jocelyn's birthday

She's come a looooong way!

  Jocelyn is such a funny sweet girl. She can be really laid back but if she feels crossed game over for the perp...She loves girly things like dresses and make-up and dancing but she also likes soccer and laughs when she toots. She is the cuddliest kid in the universe and I love that except every morning at 5 am when she tries to climb in bed with me...She has the most happy little smile and looking at her face makes me realize every day that there is good in the world. She loves treats but also likes oranges and carrots and ranch dip... She is still on the smaller side for kids her age and is super good at cutting with scissors and gluing stuff....I love this little girl more than I can say and I am so thankful that she is a good mix of her older sisters in her own little way. She is a good little sister and a good big sister and we are all lucky to have her!

 

 

She REALLY wanted a hello kitty cake and since I am not super into hello kitty this was as good as it got....She was thrilled to help dump the sprinkles on...

The morning of her big day we went downtown and rode the carousel as many times as she wanted (twice thank goodness) and then crossed the street to the old fashioned candy store Judd's for suckers. She and Creed at them in the grass and then we came home for lunch/nap time. Later we had dinner (pizza as requested) and then a family party. She begged for this horse from the new Barbie movie (which she also got) and none of us could figure out how the dang horse worked for like an hour...Luckily Uncle Mark and Dad figured it out and the night was saved...

 

Halloween

Wow I need to catch up since it is December and these are Halloween pictures....So it was a crazy day of school parades then parties for both older girls then get older kids home and someone had dance or soccer and then we hit the annual hot dog neighborhood party and trick or treating. The highlight was Creed refusing to take of his doggie costume all day. His favorite thing in the world is a dog and he got sooo excited to be one for a day. And since the day was crazy there's not a ton of pictures but here they are....

Taryn was Hermione...she wanted to be Ginny but didn't want to do red hairspray again...

We did do straw curls and her hair was psychedelic....

Cami the most authentic ninja ever, Taryn as Hermione, Jocelyn as Minnie minus her ears that were lost at the time of this picture, and Creed the doggie...

This boy is such a favorite with me....he is so dang cute.

Fall Family Pictures...

So a girl that I have worked with in Primary at church is trying to gain experience as a photographer. So since Sears closed I haven't had anyone to take the birthday pictures/family pictures. Long story short I convinced her that she wanted to take our pictures...She did a great job and here you have Jocelyn's 4 in two weeks pictures, Taryn's 8 and one week pictures, Cami's 10 in a couple months pictures, and some family fun all in one. Enjoy...
