stitches....not really camis favorite....

So stitches are not really Cami's favorite....She had her second go around recently and it wasn't pretty. She nailed the edge of the pool climbing out after swimming lessons and I knew right away that it was for sure a stitches moment....Two hours, 7/11stitches,  and many tears later she was able to hobble away.Good thing she can lose herself in a book anytime anywhere...And finally after two weeks with stitches and another with steri strips I think she is in one piece...Good thing because soccer is starting again this week....

Tooth fairy bank...

Taryn has always had a smile that can light up the universe...but lately it has been crowded....very crowded. She has bigger permanent teeth and a small mouth. She pulled out her top incisors so her front four teeth could come in. Then she had no space between those teeth and her molars....so her incisors were stuck and starting to hurt. After a year of watching and waiting to see what would happen the dentist and orthodontist said it was time for a big yank...And she had six teeth pulled....and four more to pull soon...She was smiling and willing until she realized she had to get a shot and then there was some mild drama but she was pretty funny getting nitrous for the first time. And she ate a WHOLE LOT of ice cream and top roman...Baskin Robbins needs to thank us....And the tooth fairy needs a big shout out too since apparently you get paid double the normal rate for teeth that get pulled out by the dentist and opposed to falling out on their own....So Taryn is well on her way to saving enough for the ukulele she wants and the fin fun mermaid tail and all the craft supplies thanks to her teeth...The poor tooth fairy must really love her! And we love her for being a good sport in a hard situation...
