Spring Break staycation

Lately I have felt like everyone at our house has been spread a little thin-like we are all busy doing good things but not things that allow play and just being kids watching the clouds go by. So for spring break we stayed here and just played. The kids rode bikes for hours and ate cookies. We played at the sand dunes and had a picnic for lunch and dinner almost every day. We made forts and  wrestled on the floor. It was fun and easy going and was a true break.

I saw these fun Easter cookies from a friend on facebook and we had to try them...jelly beans and peeps on nobake cookies with coconut added to look like nests...They were very fun and very rich...
We made a fort out of the picnic table. We walked to Little Cesar's and had pizza in the fort. It was pretty perfect...

Some how Brent always ends up on the bottom of the pile...luckily the girls weigh nothing and have good balance when stacked...until someone breaks an arm...

Sometimes it is so nice to stay home for a few days with no schedules. I'll bet that was wonderful!
