This blog post is SO over due and I am sitting here trying to remember what we did for spring break but I am finding myself in a fog of all the stuff we have to do in the next couple weeks for the end of school....So I know we had fun and I drove the kids crazy with a lot of hiking....
We started by playing Friday afternoon at the children's museum. They had a new Frozen room and Anna was there to help with the opening day...Jocelyn was basically in love with the hole thing for several hours....
Saturday was a beautiful day for soccer and we played outside in Mesquite at the games.
Monday we hiked in Snow Canyon, played in sand dunes, and had dairy queen blizzards.
Tuesday we hiked.
Wednesday we found a cool Anasazi village and hiked an old petroglyph trail.
Thursday or Friday sometime we got ice cream cones at an old fashioned candy store and played at the park.
Saturday we hiked an old mining/prospecting trail. It was so funny when Jocelyn insisted on carry her camelback backpack the whole way... Even when she was too tired to carry herself and Brent ended up piggy backing her the last little way. When we got home we unloaded the camelback to find it STUFFED with rocks she had collected on the way. No wonder she slowed down so much near the end....
Sunday we cuddled and read and napped together.....
It was a pretty fun low key hike filled week....Not the Lego land adventure we were going to plan but a good second place....
We've been trying not to eat too much sugar at our house lately but spring break kind of broke all the sugar rules and it doesn't look like they minded at all....
Soccer games for Cami in NV with a great playground.....and somehow we walked away without soccer pictures but a lot of playground fun....
After scrolling through these pictures I have become aware that Jocelyn's clothes choices are every bit as funckadilly as Taryn's.....Green shirt, white skirt for hiking, purple leggings, pink and orange shoes......She does AWESOME well!
Really happy to be throwing rocks in the water....
Face painting gone awire....yes Taryn painted Jocelyn into a Sith Lord....
She is always making dirt angles....that's what we get for living in a place without snow....
the only shade was in the shadows of the rocks
nap in the sunshine
Had to capture sisters being nice to each other....hormones are not allowing this very often lately...
rocks and sticks and dirt....what this boy is made of....
When the kids get tired.....from rocks in the pack yet to be discovered....
