Just before school got out the girls had their spring piano recital. It was Jocelyn's first recital and I really worried she would be anxious and refuse to play. She has only been taking lessons for a few months and just started reading music about a month ago. She does seem to really like it and I don't have to ask her to practice too often. She does it on her own.
Cami has really improved a ton in the last while. She is playing more complicated songs and choosing some of her own pieces to learn now. I really hope she continues because she is right on the cusp of being able to play whatever whenever...It is fun to listen to her practice and it makes me happy that she just sits down randomly and busts out in song.
Taryn is still humoring me by taking lessons. She is improving a lot too. My favorite is when she plays songs with words and sings along. She actually plays a lot better when she is singing.
It is good for Jocelyn to be a third child and have sisters playing in a recital without being worried at all. All three girls did great and no one cried so it was a success.
