After preschool and dance ended the summer hit a loll for about a week. After that we jumped right into swimming lessons. Cami started in the 1st level class. I wasn't sure she was even going to get in on the first day but she sucked it up and braved up and even had fun. Cami learned how to go under water to get colored rings and how to float (more or less). On the last day she was even brave enough to go down the water slide (something she has ALWAYS feared and avoided).
Taryn and I did the mom and tot class and boy was she crazy! She is mostly the reason we had to do swimming lessons because she has no fear. It is scary to be around water with a kid that doesn't fear and has no clue how to swim. I am not sure she learned any more about swimming but she did have a blast (particularly taking a running start to jumping in and playing duck duck goose around the tide pool thing). Taryn from day one begged to go down the slide and true to form was yelling "AGAIN MOMMY AGAIN!" the moment we hit the water after the first time down. It is fun to have a kid who is not afraid of things sometimes but it is also nice to have a kid who does have a sense of boundaries....We're so lucky to have one of each!

Taryn the monkey-yes that is Brent. He took the 3rd of July off and the 4th. She has soooo much fun with Daddy.

Taryn resisting the goggles....She is a girl who does not mind a face full of water.
