Big motherload catch up...

So once upon a time we had a working Camera. Then it fell off a desk or was used by a curious 4 year old or fed to a dog that we don't own....we don't really know exactly. The camera is however completely out of commission and blogging with out pictures just doesn't happen for me. I just forget that we have anything cool going on...So it has been a few months. Now I found out how to get pictures off our phones and here we go-a mother load catch up post.....But beware nothing is in any kind of order and this is a complete mash up but not necessarily in a good way...

It snowed A LOT in December and the girls (and Brent) played and played and played in it....

Brent and I hosted a crazy Christmas sweater party and told the girls they could have a movie night sleep over if they promised not to come out of the girls room...This is how we found them afterwards.

Cami's big day #10



Sweet Sweet Camilla millie silly turned 10 in January and she is getting soooooo grown up. We took her shoe shopping and the lady measured her feet and said she is a whatever size in girls or a size 5 in women's....I almost barfed...That is only one size smaller than me...She is growing at an alarming rate.

She is still brilliant and smart and kind as ever but is definitely starting to feel the effects of hormones...especially if siblings cross her. We are hoping sometime soon to give she and Taryn a little more space and a lot more peace at bedtime. 

She has read more books in the last year than I can even count and if you get her to talk about one she will talk for hours non stop. She thinks and creates, usually involving mystical creatures or magical lands.

She finally decided dance was not for her but she continues playing competitive soccer. It has the potential to teach some hard but important life lessons like hard work, and gut checks-this is like the first time in her life when she has really had to work for something rather than just being a superstar naturally. That being said she is making lots of progress and I love to watch her play.

She is still playing the piano and it is fun to listen to her play now.

 She is amazing with her younger siblings and is a great baby sitter on occasion for a short time. She can be silly and goofy but is still really sensitive and quiet at times. She has been really aware of kids around her who might not have friends and goes out of her way to play with them. She is very patient with kids who are different than her and I really respect that about her. She includes everyone and reaches out to kids who are sometimes left behind.

She has an innate sense of right vs wrong and is quick to apologize if she makes a choice that isn't so awesome. I love that about her. In fact I love everything about her-even that she is trying her best to get Creed to burp against my wishes....She makes our home a better place just by being here and I can't wait to see how she grows and changes in the next year. Creed's big day #2-life is good.

Creed is a good boy. I love him like a crazy lady. And I honestly feel his love for me. He snuggles me and asks for me instead of anyone else and he says sweet things like "tank ewe mama..." He has so much appreciation for everything. He is my little man, my little boy blue, my buddy. He is usually easy going and pleasant and pretty chill. I truly feel blessed that he is part of our family.

I can't believe he is two. He has really started to seem like more of a little person than a baby-the way he moves and talks is totally little boy style now. The way he runs reminds me of my brother David. He swings one arm as he goes and his little legs move sooo fast. He has figured out how to climb into his crib but he hasn't been brave enough to climb out thank goodness. He uses some sentences but usually it is just several words strung together ("mo juice" and "take gabage") He loves watching the garbage man and begs to take the trash out everyday. Just today he cried for 20 minutes because it was not trash day...He loves any book that has a doggie in it and often I find him unloading every book on the entire book shelf. -which is OK since he will sit there and read them as he goes. He loves doggies and begs to "pet doggie?!" every time he sees one. He loves shoes, taking them on and off a thousand times and he is the only one of all our kids who obeys when I say go get your shoes on....BUT the second he is in the car they are off...He loves to hit and pinch and pull hair much to his sisters despair. But he is very fast to say "orry" and give smooches. He begs to sit on the potty several times a day-whether he needs to or not-because he learned very quickly that if he sits on the potty he gets M&Ms. He is patient with all the love he gets from this household of girls but when he's had enough he is sure to let you know. He particularly seems to trust Cami. And he can scream about as loud or high as Taryn when he needs to...He is still a little guy-15th percentile for weight and 25th for height and 5th for head...so he is built like you would expect knowing our other kids. I love Creed's laugh. I love that he is so ticklish that you just have to look at him and he cracks up. I love that he laughs very readily and hard-so hard he forgets to breath sometimes. Anyway, I just really love this boy of mine and life would not be complete without him. He really tempers our home of girls with just the right mix of boy. We are so lucky to have him and here are some of his 2 yr old pictures...

 

 

 

For Creed's big day he ate lots of yogurt (by far his favorite food). We then went to the pet store to look at doggies and then the other pet store too for good measure. We went to ride the carousel but since it was closed we just walked across the street to the candy store and got suckers (another absolute fav with him).  That night we had pizza and ice cream and cake and O think it was a great day overall...
